In 2013, GM added a barometric pressure sensor, requiring us to head back to the drawing boards. We designed a new intake with a location for this secondary sensor so you get an intake that can meet the factory calibration or handle enhanced tuning.
ISO 5011 Filtration Testing.
A mountain of dust and our 1/2 million dollar lab is how far we've gone to make sure your engine is protected.
Airflow with options.
When its cool out, feed your engine more air through the air box's secondary opening. Just in case the thought of all that extra cold air makes you shiver, a plug is provided to seal off the extra inlet
Get more cold air.
Scoop mounts level with the bumper to pull in cooler, denser, air. Tested to the SAE J2554 test standard to insure that your engine is protected from the rain.
The name says it all, Powerstack.
This intake comes with a huge filter, but we did not stop there. A powerstack, was added to increase the capacity and airflow of the filter. The result is better performance as the filter loads with dirt.
A radiused inlet. Better airflow.
A trumpeted entrance to our air tube smooths the air flow for less restriction.
Fits better than stock.
Easy to install with a fitment that rivals the OE intake. Securely mounts with only four (4) attachment points.
Avoid check engine lights.
We designed this kit to avoid check engine lights with a properly mapped Mass Air Sensor. This is where we run away from the competition. Vehicles are becoming more complex. S&B devotes a huge amount of resources to engineer intakes that will allow your engine to run properly with the stock calibration or with enhanced tuning.
